Fall officially begins Sept. 22 but I’m already pumped full of pumpkin spice products and my Halloween decorations are out at my home. Fall fashion in South Florida looks a lot different than the more bundled up looks around the nation, but just because the temperatures don’t get too chilly here doesn’t mean you can’t rock a wool scarf with a cool v-neck T-shirt or knee-high boots with a skirt.
Here are my South Florida-friendly fashion pics for mamas this fall:
- Gap just partnered with iconic wool brand, Pendleton, this month for a women’s, men’s and children’s collection that paired classic plaid patterns with tried and true Gap favorites such as denim jackets and button-down shirts. The Gap x Pendleton Boyfriend shirt [featured above] costs $59.95 and is made out of a lightweight rayon that is perfect for the illusion of a warm plaid shirt for South Florida. The collection includes shirt dresses ($69.95), denim (jeans and jacket both $79.95), shirts ($59.95)and ponchos ($199) for women, a puffer vest ($98), shirt jackets ($199), baseball caps ($24.95) and scarves for men ($49.95), tote bags ($49.95-$64.95) and a full range of offerings for kids and babies ranging in price from $16.95 to $44.95. The collection is available now at select global Gap stores and on gap.com.
2. Coach’s 1941 collection has me losing my mind and inspired to sell more of my highend handbags so I can obtain a piece of this collection. I honestly haven’t been this enamored with a designer collection since Louis Vuitton Cerises. Coach’s High Vamp Loafers with Shield ($395) are a glam-goth obsession that’s “Interview With A Vampire” meets “Devil Wears Prada.” With sculpted block heels and Edwardian era studs and gems, these shoes were made for walking into a completely new territory of trends this season. The shoes are coming soon to Coach.com.
3. Stila’s All Day liquid Lipstick in Patina is the best stay-on lipstick I’ve ever used. This stuff magically doesn’t budge, even after hours of eating and drinking and by some miracle, it also doesn’t dry out your lips. I got a sample of this in a recent Birchbox and I was really impressed. The Patina color is the perfect mocha pink shade that you can use for looks that can be dressed up or dressed down. It costs $24 at Stilacosmetics.com.
